You will learn all about the different communication theories. I just got it for school, but I like that the book tries to stay entertaining and keep your attention through stories.
The book was EXACTALLY as described. It is not a very good book in general, but that's not amazon's fault as much as the authors. Would reccomend to anyone who's required to purchase it for ENGL 1000
